β€œBlank Canvas” is a celebration of creative diversity and insight, celebrating artists, visionaries, and industry experts. Within the newly established studios at Hotel Downstreet in North Adams, remarkable artists and creative leaders will unveil their inspirations, process, and stories behind their work.

  • JARVIS ROCKWELL

    NOVEMBER 16TH 5:00PM-7:00PM

    Blank Canvas kicks off November 16th with an inaugural talk featuring Jarvis Rockwell, a visionary artist who has spent nearly four decades curating an ever-growing collection of toy figures. Born into a world renowned artistic family, Rockwell embarked on his creative journey by drawing portraits of his neighbors and friends. He honed his skills at prestigious institutions like the Art Students League in New York and the Boston Museum School. After serving in the Korean War, he continued his artistic pursuits at the Los Angeles County Art Institute.

    Rockwell has exhibited at renowned institutions like MASS MoCA, the New Museum in New York, Scottsdale Public Art in Arizona, and more. His distinctive work has enchanted audiences across the country, exploring themes that resonate with people from all walks of life.
